protest against the massacre of dogs in Romania, war dogs in the middle of Europe.
Dear Mr. Schulz,
We turn in the names of many animal rights activists and deeply horrified citizens to you.
We hereby urge you to take action against the brutal mass killing of thousands of innocent stray animals in Romania immediately. We do not tolerate that the EU and as your President, continue to stand idly by in an unprecedented bloodbath in Europe! There is inconsistent, that you one hand on behalf of the EU, the “Nobel Peace Prize 2012 ”received and then on the other hand a war against dogs and cats in Europe are let. animals a solid and worthy of protection component our society and should not be excluded from life, nor from the law or ethical-moral values in Europe.
The situation in Romania has dramatically intensified a week ago as a young boy allegedly said to have been killed by stray dogs. The media played the event incredibly high, and sparked a targeted mass hysteria of the population, which began immediately all stray dogs in a brutal way to kill, to shoot or to light alive. Instead of taking responsibility for the animals and humane and civilized way to decimate the population of the animals by castration and consistent to adopt, there is the Romanian government only cold-blooded murder as a supposed solution. Numerous studies show that killing does not lead to the decimation of the population. There are many NGOs and Romanian animal rights activists who have made and shown outstanding work in recent years, how to by neuter & release measures, and care can effectively and humanely manage the problem of street dogs. fact that Romania against the Constitutional Court represents, and to date, the implementation of appropriate and ethical measures of population control (WHO) has refused, a perfidious background. In Romania, a lucrative business model has evolved to earn the dog hunter, municipalities and mayors million euros with the murder of stray animals.
Up to € 250 per dog paid by municipalities to animal shelters for accommodation. Funds are part of EU funds and in any case tax dollars and mean certain death for the dogs . Man looking at tendering the cheapest shelter, where the animals are after arrival often equal murdered or die of starvation – causes zero cost – brings 100% profit.more aggressive and dangerous dogs in the media can be shown, the more one has the legitimacy to . assassinate a lucrative business, also funded by EU.
We therefore urge you to review the payment and appropriate use of EU funds in Romania and to end this possible misuse of EU funds. it can not be that every tax-paying EU citizens is made involuntarily to the dog killer, because with these funds will subsidize the killing of dogs!
It’s bad that it could come in Romania so far, especially against the background that we animal rights activists, both you, Mr Schulz, including all MEP `s in the last few years constantly on the murder of millions of stray animals and the use of EU agents have noted, interspersed with information, pictures and facts into knowledge. Countless petitions Written Declarations and protests were addressed to the European Parliament, many delegations from animal rights activists traveled to Brussels for talks. All that remained without significant changes and achievements.
We do not take longer accept that you and the EU Parliament will continue to stand idly such a inhumane and criminal goings-on in Romania and can thus be exploited for the local system.
