Julya was found by a girl lying in the street. Getting closer, she noticed the dog had a leg injured and she was crying of pains.

The girl took the dog at the vet. After examination, the leg of Julya was operated and now she is ok. She also was neutered.

-accomodation and postoperatory treatment=46 euro.

The public dog shelter in Tecuci needs our help.

I'm not sure if you know, but the new mayor of Tecuci built a dog shelter which opened a couple months ago.He promised us that he will not kill any of the animals even if Romania passed the law allowing shelters to put the dogs to sleep after 14 days.We appreciate the fact that they are making an effort to keep these animals alive despite the national decisions but their funds are low and the dogs need us to provide a little more food for them.The shelter has a capacity of 500 dogs but around 450 are living there right now, plus a lot of very young puppies. The shelter management is opened to a collaboration with us and are letting us provide whatever we can for those dogs.The weather is getting very cold in Tecuci and we started building dog houses for the pregnant females and the mommies with pups, because they need extra warmth.We really need your help with extra food for the shelter though,remember winter is coming and they need to survive it by eating properly and being warm enough. We are doing the best we can and helping the local shelter is what our hearts is telling us to do because they need us too.

Sick Puppy Needs Urgent Help/Donations.

We found this pup feeling sick at the shelter in Tecuci a day before having the Spay/Neuter Day and brought him to the vet clinic. He is about 3 months and a half. We suspected him having parvovirus and unfortunately the test confirmed our suspicion. He was skinny, dehydrated and hypothermic. Now after 5 days of infusion treatment he started to eat a bit which is a good sign. We are doing our best to help him and hopefully he will fight for his life, too. If he is going to make it he will be vaccinated after three weeks and he is ready for adoption. There is NO way to get back into the shelter! 

So PLEASE adopt him as soon as possible because we have no place for him. If he is not adopted we will be forced to keep him there and pay about 15 lei per day at the vet clinic till he will leave.

Unfortunately our resources depend on your support as always…. I`m really sorry I always come to you and ask for your help. But… you are the only hope for us to help these poor animals. I`m going to donate 50 lei ($ 15 or 12 Euro). But we still need about $60 or 47 Euro so far. This is not the final amount of money we need to pay for him. It` depends on how fast he fully recovers and how fast we find a home for him.

This brown dog has been featured in a number of newspapers. Last seen at Suceava Public Shelter. Last picture was 2013. The one previous to that was taken in 2012. We started Happy Paws in 2011 as a dog sanctuary helping those badly injured or sick and those for whom we had adoption offers (we couldn't find any foster homes for them while waiting). We intended to keep it small, so we have time to socialize them and also we wanted to keep them safe and away from people's complaints. We opened the sanctuary using small enclosures from the City Hall (5 at this moment).

Due to this unimaginable national hysteria against stray dogs and their protectors, we have been forced to take over 40 new dogs in the last 3 weeks and there are still some we want to rescue, but have no place for. The current location of Happy Paws is near people's homes and they are complaining daily about the noise; they threaten us and are very aggressive (verbally). We fear they might start getting violent against our dogs, especially because there were a lot of poisoned dogs in Moreni in the past month.

We now have a piece of land and we want to  start rebuilding everything and move them as soon as possible. We also want to rescue more dogs from the public shelter, but have absolutely no place to take them, until the new shelter is built.

Since 2011 when we first started we managed to help a lot of injured dogs (car accident victims, severely emaciated, tumor victims, one dog who was thrown from the 4th floor, sick and abused puppies). We also found homes for 45 dogs and continued with our spay/neuter project funded by Romania Animal Rescue Inc (550 stray and owned dogs and cats since 2011).

Abandoned dog needs your help.

Abandoned senior German Shepard boy....the flies are eating his ears alive... He is so gentle, kind, good boy, so sweet and also so skinny and hungy....he has such sad red eyes from crying inside his pain because he was thrown away like garbage after a life serving his owner...

That's old wolf at the gate dropped on a street with houses in Bucharest, is gentle and submissive, I kissed, hugged and I anointed ears antibiotic that was eaten alive by flies .... With shame does not mean that I took, I just posed, I fed and I doctored because I have 7 dogs in private housing, 3in home yet still outside and not much to do with them Do not give up the idea ... to help him, we will find a solution for it but for now we have no where to go ...

I remained baited him, how beautiful, gentle and sweet it is, has jus 8 years, maybe less, is weak and feel ribs and ate poor hungry move it ..

If you have any solution for it, wait message .... I love and I hope to be an angel here and he ...

Maybe you have an empty courtyard where you want to leave a decent soul and love to grow old with .... after a life of faithful service that's no good and was cast as rubbish .... Please look at it and search for your soul to be the angel of kindness today ...

2 special Brothers need you. One adopter for both would be great!

These 2 special boys are in urgent need of help. Paul is the badly infected leg boy we've been searching and searching for to be able to treat after failing to catch him 1 month ago. We honestly thought he is dead from septicemia by now so this Saturday night when Karina called saying she found him we left everything aside and flew there like rockets. Now we will finally be able to help him and treat him, if we receive the necessary funds for the vet. Mircea is his awesome friend and we think most likely his Brother, he is a dog so intelligent and loving, so sweet, so friendly, he gives the paw at command, he kisses your face, and so importantly, he is a great moral support for his buddy in suffering and gives him courage - the only reason we were able to catch scared Paul this time was all due to this loving Brother who showed us love and showed him he can stay he doesnt have to run away. A true friendship between dogs that is so touching to see, Mircea is the kind of dog you see on TV saving lives of people or other dogs .......they did not even fight from the yummy food we gave, although both were really, really starved. 

Please help us be able to treat Paul now that we finally got him and what Paul & Mircea want most in this world is loving homes once Paul will be healed. Tonight we had to pay a dogcatcher to come and tranquilize Paul, and we will need more funds for them, so donations to treat Paul and to sponsor their food, vaccinations &stay at TORA shelter are in big need. A year ago, some offices were demolished . In their wake , they left , some sad dogs who did not understand why they were abandoned and continues to guard the place . Meanwhile, they have multiplied , and the inhabitants of the place turned into landfill. Adult dogs and puppies are ten remaining six of the many who had been , because no dog is neutered . They live on squalid living space and are eaten alive by ticks and worms. I feed them daily and after four days , desperate and with my soul crushed, sobbing ,one of the puppy got the worst affected , and I thought of euthanasia , to escape him from the torment. At Tazy Vet doctor who knows me , seeing I’m destroyed , proposed me to give him a chance , but he guaranteed me nothing . The dog , on her name Sophia It is currently treated . Her ears are full of sores , they collected over 200 ticks of her fur , she had it between the toes , the nose and buttocks... I don’t find the possible words to explain her condition. It is very anemic, sleeps a lot and only crawling , but eating and fighting for life. Why are you writing this ? Because there are still five puppies , all more or less in the same condition . I do not ask for help material and I try to treat them and others, with cooperation and understanding from Tazy vet. But afterwards? They will have to come back in the same environment infected and misery ? I do not know if I can save them all , but please give them a chance . Help me looking for people that would like to adopt them, . I know you are all hit by the dramatic cases everyday and that's why I called again. I feed them, I treat and I managed to give puppies for adoption , but I’m now overwhelmed by the situation . Believe me that even the doctors have told me that they have not seen some case like this one yet but they hope Sofi to get better . We follow the treatment and if someone could provide adoption for her I would start in parallel to adopt another puppy and to treat him . Sofi is doing injections for one more week, her wounds start to heal , and after three days, if all goes well we are allowed to do and bath too. Then if someone would adopt her , she slowly recovering and I would be able to start another fight for life of her little brother . I can not take on all at once due to space and money . I try to heal all, but time it’s against them so I please ask you to help them and myself to take care of them .

Sofi it’s has about three months, mid-sized , but it looks so bad that I can not do any photo now . Only her eyes are alive and not asking me to leave . She is not the fluffy and playful dog that everybody wants the most . She does not need pity and admiration but help. Then she will become a beauty and I am sure that beein escaped from this hell she will see her protector God. Please help her and at the same time help me to be able to take care of another baby . Time is short . Sofi can go from me in a week when we'll be sure she’s fine . Thank you very much to those who will try to find solutions .!!

Hello Happy Dogs Garden’s friends

I am sad to tell you that I have to move all my beloved animals to another location. We are not safe anymore due to the insanity that goes around in Romania now.

People are capable of evil things against dogs and people who protect them, I fear for the worst. 

You all know I have worked very hard for them and I have saved them from horrible conditions. They are now healthy and loved, but we also need to keep them safe, otherwise it was all in vain.

The land I am now using is near people’s homes and they are starting to threaten me and my dogs, so we need to go to a safe location. It is also owned by the city hall, so they can always summon me to move.

I have stopped all the working here and I will take everything that can be taken (including materials for kennels and fence) to the new location.

I am looking for a piece of land far away from people, where the dogs can be safe. I am trying to do this fast, so we can be safe before winter comes. I am posting this now, even thou I haven’t found the land yet, because there is no time to waste.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and trust.
